RIrender-HS-Vulkan is Reprointelligence’s latest lineup addition to the PDF to CMYK contone render engine, combining advanced rasterizer, color server, and process calibration features. RIrender-HS-Vulkan is built to meet the requirements of industrial, digital printing machine providers who need a cost-efficient, yet powerful and scalable rasterizing system. Based on the industry-proven technologies of our classic RIrender, RIrender-HS-Vulkan is stripped and tuned to the needs of throughput-demanding single-pass digital mass print production systems.

GPU-Powered Rendering Performance
RIrender-HS-Vulkan is aggressively optimized to harness the maximum performance of modern AMD64(X86) and GPU server hardware in parallel. In contrast to its CPU-based sibling, the RIrender-HS (CPU), RIrender-HS-Vulkan utilizes available GPU resources via Vulkan-API to massively speed-up the entire render processing chain.
Its Feature set is almost identical to the CPU variant. RIrender-HS-Vulkan shines in implementation scenarios where superfast multi-PDF, parallel processing is desired. While the rasterizing is running highly efficiently on CPU, the GPU handles simultaneously tasks like color management, on-the-fly-thumbnail-creation, and many other processing steps. This combination allows for non-blocking output data creation, minimizing the contextual switches and server I/O stress. By the dual-configuration of RIrender-HS-Vulkan, a large number of simultaneous PDF rendering task can be handled without significant performance loss per individual render-job.
RIrender-HS-Vulkan supports a broad selection of hardware accelerators via the Vulkan-API. Ranging from integrated GPU/APUs over discrete GPUs and compute acceleration hardware.

Tuned to Performance, easy to Integrate
RIrender-HS-Vulkan is a CLI application streamlined to deliver only the essential components and features, specifically designed for CMYK printing. Through careful optimization, we’ve eliminated unnecessary dependencies to keep the resulting binary as small as possible. The code is engineered to leverage modern CPU cache efficiently, delivering fast execution performance. Its statically linked binary weighs just 5 MB, making it ideal for dynamic, cloud-based load-balancing or in-house multi-node render-configurations. As a monolithic CLI-program, RIrender-HS-Vulkan includes all necessary features and functions to operate in parallel across multiple cores, worker instances and server nodes. No library integration or manual coding required to get the system running. This allows system integrators to avoid complex threading tasks and focus entirely on the automation pipeline.
