RIshaper, Reprointelligence’s color management solution, is designed for efficient image-to-image and image-to-PDF conversions. It serves as a powerful component, utilizing RIcolor, the core color conversion technology within Reprointelligence’s suite.
As one of the key technologies, RIshaper offers precise and extensive image manipulation capabilities, meeting media professionals specific output requirements. It supports in-memory operations on image data, utilizing an optimized software foundation. The tool can handle TIFF-encoded images, convert between color models and spaces, and apply various adjustments such as ink limitations, output curve modifications, color posterization, and visually lossless bit reduction. Additionally, RIshaper provides lossless compression and output routing capabilities, similar to a full color server.
Its comprehensive features enable the efficient conversion of large image datasets in a streamlined process, eliminating the need for complex tool interconnections. RIshaper can also directly output images to PDF, facilitating PDF-based workflows. Functionally, it resembles RIrender, another Reprointelligence tool, but without an integrated PDF rasterizer.
Both RIshaper and RIrender are built upon in-house developments, leveraging the expertise of seasoned engineers with extensive industry experience in PDF and color management. This allows full control over the render engine, ensuring the ability to generate print-ready bitmap data from various PDF sources, considering all print production necessities. RIshaper integrates RIcolor, a highly intelligent color management engine, further enhancing its capabilities.
